W Outdoor Living Wins BALI National Landscape Award

September 15, 2026

We’re delighted to announce that the W Outdoor Living Experience at Pickmere Nursery is now an award-winning landscape.

Following the announcement of four British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) National Landscape Awards for Wright Landscapes in September 2026, the W Outdoor Living Show Space at Pickmere Nursery has been recognised as an award winner in the Hard Landscaping category.

Designed and delivered by Wright Landscapes, the project has transformed part of our Pickmere Nursery headquarters into a unique outdoor living and landscape experience, somewhere clients, designers and industry professionals can explore products, materials and ideas within a fully considered garden setting.

Experience outdoor living in a real landscape

Throughout the space, visitors can see how hard landscaping, planting, outdoor kitchens, shade structures, pools, wellness features, furniture and lighting can all work together as part of one cohesive landscape.

At the heart of the experience is the striking Renson Amani canopy, demonstrating how a beautifully designed covered structure can create a true outdoor room for relaxing, dining and entertaining throughout the seasons.

Outdoor cooking is showcased through kitchens from both Cubic Outdoor Living and König Outdoor, offering inspiration for incorporating practical, high-quality cooking and entertaining areas into contemporary garden designs.

For those looking to bring a resort-style feel to their outdoor space, visitors can also explore an outdoor pool from CSPAS, alongside a Sauna Spec sauna and cold plunge, demonstrating how swimming, relaxation and wellness can be integrated naturally into a wider landscape.

Materials you can see, touch and compare

One of the major benefits of visiting the show space is the opportunity to experience materials at full scale and see how different finishes work alongside planting and other landscape elements.

The space features paving from Schellevis, Casa Ceramica and London Stone, giving visitors the chance to explore a variety of colours, textures and formats within completed areas rather than viewing small samples in isolation.

Millboard decking and cladding is also incorporated throughout the scheme, demonstrating how contemporary decking and architectural cladding can complement both hard landscaping and planting.

The different materials, levels, surfaces and details have been carefully combined to show what can be achieved when every element of a landscape is considered together from the outset.

Planting that brings the space to life

As the home of Pickmere Nursery, planting plays an essential part in the experience.

Specimen trees and plants, hedging and perennial planting from the nursery are used throughout the show space, providing structure, softness, seasonal interest and a natural backdrop to the outdoor living products.

Rather than displaying products independently, the aim is to show how they sit within a finished landscape – surrounded by established planting and greenery, helping visitors to better visualise how similar elements could look and feel within their own garden.

Large-format Torc pots add further architectural interest, demonstrating how statement containers and planting can be used to create focal points and add height and character to outdoor spaces.

Furniture, lighting and finishing touches

The experience is completed with outdoor furniture from Higold and Cane-line, showcasing different ways to create comfortable spaces for dining, entertaining and relaxing outdoors.

As daylight fades, in-lite outdoor lighting demonstrates how a carefully planned lighting scheme can transform a landscape, highlighting planting, materials, pathways and architectural features while extending the use of the garden into the evening.

Together, these finishing touches help visitors experience the space as a complete outdoor environment rather than simply a collection of individual products.

Designed to inspire

The W Outdoor Living Experience brings together products and expertise from a range of trusted partners, providing inspiration for everything from complete garden transformations to individual outdoor living features.

Visitors can explore ideas including covered outdoor rooms, outdoor kitchens, swimming pools, saunas and cold plunges, decking and cladding, premium paving, specimen planting, statement pots, outdoor furniture and landscape lighting, all within one professionally designed and landscaped setting.

It allows homeowners, garden designers, landscape architects and industry professionals to see proportions, finishes and material combinations at full scale, and to understand how products can work together as part of a complete landscape.

An award-winning destination at Pickmere Nursery

Since opening, the W Outdoor Living Experience has become a place to inspire clients, welcome industry professionals, host events and demonstrate what can be achieved when landscape design, planting and outdoor living are considered together.

To now see a project here at our own home recognised with a BALI National Landscape Award for 2026 is something we are incredibly proud of, and fantastic recognition for everyone involved in designing, supplying and creating the space.

Whether you are planning a complete garden transformation, considering a new outdoor kitchen or entertaining area, or simply looking for inspiration for your next project, the W Outdoor Living Experience at Pickmere Nursery offers the opportunity to see what is possible when great landscape design, exceptional products and beautiful planting come together.

We look forward to welcoming you.
