The garden as part of the architecture. Considered outdoor schemes designed and delivered as one, by people who treat the brief seriously.
For private homes, the outdoor space carries as much weight as any interior room. It is where the architecture finishes, where the family actually spends time, and where the design either holds up or falls short.
W Outdoor Living works with private clients, architects and garden designers to specify and deliver outdoor schemes that read as part of the home rather than added to it. From a single pergola to a complete garden including kitchen, pool, lighting, furniture and planting, we plan and install the full scheme as one, with a single point of contact from brief to installation.
Every element of a private outdoor scheme, specified and delivered by a single experienced team.

A private outdoor scheme has to work for the people who live with it every day. That changes how we specify, how we plan, and how we work with the rest of the team building the house.
Kitchens, structures, furniture, lighting, planting, pools, all specified and delivered by us as a single coordinated scheme. No managing multiple trades, no design decisions falling through the gaps.
We work alongside your architect or garden designer from early in the project, so the outdoor scheme is resolved with the rest of the build rather than added at the end.
Every product we specify is chosen for how it will look and perform in real conditions over time. Materials that age well, finishes that hold up, planting that matures.
We work only with manufacturers and suppliers who share our commitment to design integrity, material quality, and long-term performance — so that every project we deliver is one we’re proud to put our name to.
Yes. We are based at Pickmere Nursery in Knutsford, Cheshire, and we work with private clients across the UK. We are happy to discuss projects in any region, please get in touch to talk through your brief.
Yes. We work routinely with architects and garden designers, and we are comfortable plugging into an established design team. We can lead the outdoor specification or contribute to a scheme already being developed, whichever suits the project.
Both. Some clients come to us for a single component, an outdoor kitchen, a pergola, a furniture specification. Others ask us to specify and deliver the complete garden scheme. Our preference is the full scheme, because the result is more coherent.
We start with a conversation about the home, the brief and how you want to live in the space. From there we move into specification and design development, working alongside any other consultants. Once specified, we manage procurement and installation through to handover.
Yes. Our showroom at Pickmere Nursery in Knutsford lets you experience the full collection in situ, including pergolas, outdoor kitchens, furniture, lighting and planting in a working garden environment. It is the best way to understand scale, finish and feel before specifying.
Lead times depend on scope and the brands specified. Bespoke pergolas and outdoor kitchens typically require 8 to 16 weeks from order to installation. Furniture, lighting and pots are usually faster. We share clear timelines at specification so they can be planned into the wider build programme.
Yes. Through Pickmere Nursery we source and specify planting as part of the scheme, from mature trees and structural shrubs through to perennials and ground cover. We plan planting alongside the hard landscape so the two read as one.
Yes. We offer post installation support, seasonal maintenance guidance and aftercare across the brands we specify. For structures and pools, we coordinate with manufacturer warranties directly.
No fixed minimum, but our process is best suited to schemes where multiple outdoor elements are being specified together. If you are looking at a single piece of furniture, we can point you in the right direction, but we add the most value on schemes where the full outdoor experience is being designed.
The best first step is a conversation. Get in touch with a brief outline of the home, the scope and your timeline, and we will arrange a call or visit to talk through how we can support the scheme.
Set within a working nursery, it gives designers, architects, and clients the opportunity to experience our full collection in context, to understand scale, touch materials, and begin a specification with confidence.
